Tomasz Rut
The art of Tomasz Rut is, in scale and splendor, reminiscent of the works of the classical masters. With the dynamic of Rubens, the finesse of Caravaggio, and the emotion of Michelangelo, Rut's imaginary figures colorfully burst from the canvas with the grandiosity of Olympian Gods in active and dramatic poses. His art is inspired by the Pompeian Frescos, and the magnificence of the Renaissance and Baroque art that he was introduced to as a child by his mother, who also, was an artist.

A signature element in Tomasz Rut's oil paintings is the superficial patina or aging he creates that so eloquently mimic the cracked canvasses and murals of the Italian frescoes and figurative oils.
